Nov 15th

We are going to have a baby by Nov 15th. I am planning on going in on Monday Nov 15th at 8:30am to get induced. We have decided to induce to help work around Brock's work schedule. Brock should be able to be home from work until early Dec, that will give us about 2 weeks to adjust before he goes back to work. I am excited but it just seams like it went by really fast. I have Monday and Tue off work next week. Monday I am having a girls day with my mom and sister. We are going to get our nails done, lunch and some shopping. Tues we are going to have a fun day with Sierra. We are planning on taking her to Amazing Pizza Machine. We want to introduce her to bowling. They have a smaller version of the game that would be more fit for her age.

Big Girl Bed!

We finally got the office room cleaned up and started setting up Sierra new room. We had bought a twin size bed for her. Sunday night was the first night we had it all set up. That day Sierra did not take a nap so she was very tired and ended up falling asleep on my lap. Brock ended up just carrying Sierra and put her in the new bed asleep. She stayed in the bed all night. Monday night after her bath Sierra ran to her new room and climbed right into bed. I was so excited that she wanted to sleep in her new room. I was so nervous she would not transition well into a new room and new bed, but she loves it. Now we just have to finish the room. Right now we just have the bed and dresser in there.
My Mom found a very cute flower bedding for her. I am going to do a flower and butterfly theme room for her. I had a friend make me a really cute growth chart that started the theme of the room. I need to figure out what color to paint the room. I asked Sierra what color and she said yellow.
Target has some wall stickers of flowers and butterflies that I thought would look nice on the the wall. I have put a link at the bottom to the bedding that I have bought for Sierra.

It is going to be a.....

We found out on July 13th that we are going have a girl!!! We are super excited about it. Brock made sure to ask the u/s tech to check twice to make sure it was not a boy. It was only for that split second that brock questioned the tech but he is really excited to have another girl in the house. We are in the slow process of getting the other room ready for the baby. I have been really busy with Brock's sister getting married this weekend and being the VP of my work's Golf league. Once the golf league is over I will put 100% effort on getting the other room together. We have already bought a twin bed for Sierra and have it set up. She knows that it is her "new big bed". We have not started the process of getting her out of her crib. We are still in debate if we will move Sierra into the other room or make the new room the nursery. It would be alot less work if we move Sierra. I have been looking for bedding for Sierra, I think I am going to have a flower and butterfly theme room for Sierra.
Last week my mom, sister and I went to garage sales in Waverly. It was so hot that day and we even started at 9am, but it did not matter. I found some really great deals. My best find was a baby Bjorn baby carrier that I can wear. I looked on walmart.com and they are $125, I bought my for $30!! I also got some clother for both Sierra and the new baby. I was also able to find bed frame for Sierra's twin bed for $5. I need to make more of an effort to make it to garage sales, you can just find so many good deals that way.

20 week dr appt.

I had my 20 week appt yesterday. Everything is going great. We got to hear the heartbeat again. Last month the baby's heartbeat was 152, this month it is 143. Per the Myths I told Brock with the low rate it could be a boy. Brock is holding that to be true. We made out appt for the big ultrasound for July 13th. We are going to find out the sex of the baby at that time.
I am starting to get my baby bump, I am starting to look more pregnant then just fat. I have not had any sickness for the last month and have had a lot more engergy now. In the last couople of weeks I have started to feel the baby move, Brock has not yet got to feel the baby yet but that will still be a few more weeks until he can do that.

Swim lessons update

Last night was the last night of the first session of swim lessons. There was a total of 5 lessons and on the 4th lesson Sierra was floating on her back by herself. I am so proud of Sierra on what she has learned in the 5 lessons. It is really fun to watch her in the pool. The teacher tells her to do something and she does it right away. Sierra was doing such a good job following direction. We usually get to the lesson early and Sierra just sits in the chair and waits. As soon as the other child gets out of the pool, Sierra gets up and walk right over to the teacher and is really to get in. It is so funny! We are going to sign up for the next session that start early July. Since Sierra is doing good I want to keep her in the lesson so she does not forget anything. Next weekend we are going to the lake, I hope the lessons help with her feeling comfortable in the lake water.

In Sierra's word, "I like fish"... aka I swim like a fish.

swimming lessons

Sierra just started swimming lessons last Thurs. She had taken lessons through YMCA a year ago, and did okay with them. Those were group lessons and I had to get in the water with her. I don't really think she learned much in those lessons. So this year I try something different. There is a lady that works at State Farm that teaches private lessons at a local hotel. It is just Sierra and the teacher in the pool for 15 mins. I had mixed thought about me not being in the pool, I was glad that I did not have to get in, but was not sure how Sierra would do without me or dad in the pool with her. We got to the lesson early so she got to see another boy take lessons, she was so excited on the way there to go swimming and when we got there she was excited about the water. When it was her turn surprising she went right to the teacher and got in the water with her. Right when Sierra's lesson started about 8 other kids showed up to swim also. Since this is at the hotel the pool is still open to the hotel guest. Since the other kids were in the pool Sierra was a little more intimidated. Sierra did cry for most of the lesson but she still rested her head on the teachers shoulder to float on her back. The teacher said she did good and they all cry on the first one but Sierra did not fight her. After the lesson I asked Sierra if she had fun, she said yes and when asked if she wants to swim again she was excited. I just hope she is still excited for her next lesson on Tue. I think sierra learn more in this 15 min lesson crying then she did the 5 lessons we took through the Y.

potty training signs?

Last Sat when I put Sierra to bed at 9pm she was not wanting to go to sleep so for the next 45mins I could hear her in there reading and talking. It got quite around 10pm so Brock went in there to get the book out of the crib. When he got in there, he saw all the books spread around the crib, her pillow in the middle with her head inside the edge of the case. Sierra then had her butt sticking up in the air with no pants and no diaper, yes no diaper. Brock had to get me right away to show me this funny sight. Sierra ended up waking up and Brock put on a new diaper and put her back to bed. The next day I heard Sierra wake up at 7:15am but could hear her playing in the crib so I just stay in bed for another 20 mins or so. When Brock went in there she was sitting up with no diaper on again. When Brock asked why she took off the diaper she said "I poopy", which she was not. Brock put her on the potty chair right away, but nothing happen. Tue morning Sierra woke up on her own around 7am when I got in there about 5 mins later she was sitting in the corner of her crib with the pillow over her lap, when I removed the pillow saw again she taken off her diaper, she said again "I poopy". We have not had problems with it since then. After taking to my friends I guess this is one of the signs of her getting ready for potty training. I guess she does not like how it feels to have a full wet diaper.
